How to Price SEO
In spite of the fact that search engine optimization is almost an art, there is a price for it, both in quantitative and qualitative sense. SEO is quite an expensive process, so a desire to get an objective assessment of its efficiency is natural. Besides, SEO audit is useful for SEO specialists themselves. They need to be aware of SEO economic appropriateness in relation to keywords.
There is a plenty of criteria that allow reliable estimating of the quality of SEO services – SEO pricing. It goes without saying that the main task of SEO is to drive a website to the highest positions in search engines. In addition, a website should be optimized in such a way so that a page visited could meet not only query formal requirements but a visitor’s expectations as well. SEO fails if a page has no useful content, good navigation, pictures and so on. Website optimization includes even such insignificant, as it may seem, things as contact forms, telephone numbers, addresses, etc.
SEO has a great influence on a website’s conversion. A customer pays for SEO services, though SEO pricing is quite high, being sure that they will bring new economic opportunities to him. But not always SEO is done bona fide, that’s why auditing is demanded as much as SEO itself.
For instance, customers are frequently offered a website’s optimization by a certain set of queries. It is a widespread practice, however, an incorrect one. The thing is that search engines do not compare websites but define relevancy of separate documents. It is well-known to those who perform SEO. That’s why in case SEO is done correctly, it is not a website’s optimization but the optimization of the whole set of documents on this website. This approach is very cost-based for SEO specialists. And they can commit forgery – to provide the optimization not of a complete website but just of its homepage queries. Of course, such a reduced SEO is of little use for a customer. The next problem is poor-quality content. Granting that a website’s optimization has been done correctly and there is a sufficient flow of visitors – but if a text is not interesting to them, they leave the site quickly.
Unfortunately, to optimize a website by means of high density of keywords is a common way of doing things in SEO. Such an optimization makes a website visited, drives it to the top positions of search engines but brings no profit to its owners.
Even worse scenario is when SEO is performed by means of tests generated by special programs. But there is nothing as bad as it is in the case with SEO based on very cheap content. As a rule, such content used by unfair SEO companies is stolen. At first it seems that SEO was a success, there are no reasons to worry. But later, when search engines detect plagiary, the website’s positions drop. Sometimes it leads to complete loss of money and time spent on SEO.
